1.4 Announcement and General News

Hello everyone! With the announcement of 1.4.0 supported version released today we wanted to touch base with everyone as to what's going on with Pixel Exit.

Currently all of our styles will work with the 1.4 series and have been working since the first Beta. In your Downloads you can find the 1.4.0 Beta 1 version which works with no outdated templates on the 1.4 series. With that said our new version of XenBase is coming out this week, we're not going to rush it out but we want to provide it in a timely manner. With it comes new improvements for the framework itself and the styles on it as well.

Once our styles are updated and pushed out you'll see a few new releases from us as well which we'll be previewing here shortly.

Lastly over the next few weeks we'll be trying to transition away from our current store into the awesome new product by Chris D: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/xen-product-manager.3569/ . This will be beneficial for everyone as it's easier to manage, handles emails(thank you!), updates and files perfectly. You may periodically notice our site being down or limited access to the downloads, if you need immediate assistance or access to a download which you can't find, don't hesitate to contact us.

Thank you everyone for their continued support, Pixel Exit continues to grow because of everyone here, we really do appreciate it.

I've pushed out updates for the following styles:

  • Adara
  • Core
  • Fusion Gamer
  • Legendary
  • Modest
  • Splash
  • Zipped
All remaining styles will be updated tomorrow. Please make backups before upgrading, this update was rather extensive. While we want things to be perfect... they never are with the amount of options we have so if you need help with anything don't hesitate to ask.

I'll be making an extensive change-log tomorrow as well as pushing things out to the official Resource Manager on XF.com. We have a busy week ahead of us with our site going through a change as mentioned above but we'll be here.

Major updated style notes:

Fusion Gamer:
Fusion Gamer needed a proper update bad, it wasn't conforming to many of the XenBase framework options because it was coded before the framework existed. It also had a ton of hard coded options and old CSS that is no longer relavent. I've cleaned it up a ton and absolutely love the turn out. It's not a radical change, it just looks so much cleaner in my eyes.

Splash:
Previously Splash was pretty set on the colors, I've changed the patterns on the navigation/sidebar/headers to a transparent texture so you can easily change the colors now using xbColor1 and xbColor2.
