Hello,

Can you please instruct on how to go about upgrading your Tickets addon? This is not something we've done before. Do we simply upload the new files, then load the new xml?

It was purchased in Oct, so it's the one right before the one just released. 1.4.1 I believe.

Make sure you're running version 1.4.1 before trying to upgrade to 1.4.3.

Generally, you just upload the new files and then upgrade the add-on via the ACP with the new XML.

As our License shows Sept 2nd as the purchase date, the only 2 versions that have been released since are the 1.4.2 and the 1.4.3 installer fix. So we're definitely running 1.4.1. Upload the new files, then the new xml, got it.

Post-upgrade, from within the Tickets Queue page (https://www.lancebase.com/tickets/queue), the top Open New Ticket button produces the overlay, while the bottom button directs to the actual page (https://www.lancebase.com/tickets/new). Is this intentional?

This is an oversight, we'll have Nix adjust it next release. In the template: nf_tickets_list_index

Find:

Code:
<a href="{xen:link tickets/new}" class="callToAction">

Add the overlay class:

Code:
<a href="{xen:link tickets/new}" class="callToAction OverlayTrigger">

Also notice a line going through the letter P, as shown in the attached image.

This may be a browser rendering issue... I can't actually see it on your style.

No Categories showing either.

This appears to be some sort of bug... go to: Options -> NixFifty: Ticket System

Change the Category Navigation Type to Basic Expanded

Hi Russ,

Say is it possible to revert back to the previous version, without losing any settings?

This is a bug that I've addressed.

If Russ did not know about this, we surely wouldn't have. Providing a link to your addressment may help, if it cannot be pasted here.

This seems to be style related. I can't reproduce the issue.

Could it be that you've overlooked the part of this thread where Russ asked us to change the Category Navigation Type to Basic Expanded, which we did, and it brought the Categories back like you see now? We'll go in and change the settings back, until noonish so you can see the issue, live. We'll then rollback to 1.4.1 for a bit.

Post #7 above could be something else you addressed that we didn't see.

Russ posted the fix that I've rolled in to the next patch.

I saw that but if it works for me on a default style, I can only assume it's style related:

I can take a closer look if you want, I'd need an ACP login.

That's more Russ' area of expertise and my copy looks fine so could be a style / browser thing?

That's good yes. Can you please share the link to where it or other Bugs are addressed? We may be looking in the wrong places. We always check here, but didn't see it: https://pixelexit.com/forums/bug-reports.93/

Here it is in Default Style, occurring live:

A form of it occurs in all Browsers. Chrome shows the line through the P, while in IE the tip of the P fades in and out when that one particular top button is rolled over.

Must get back to work now.

@tfmore anytime a bug is found if it's not posted I'll post one:

Nix fixed it for the next release so it's moved to the closed bug reports
https://pixelexit.com/forums/closed-bug-reports.94/

I mentioned above how to fix the overlay problem, it's a simple edit on those templates.

I've provided an area for nix to look at the category listing on our dev site where it's doing it on the default style as well, for now just use the other setting. I'll look into the line today so see if I can't replicate it.

You know what I realized I wonder if it's the underline on all links changing it.

Style Properties: Buttons -> Call-to Action Button Container -> Check: No Text Decoration

See if that fixes it.

How would anyone know how to properly decipher: "This is a bug that I've addressed." ? It's difficult to understand who's saying what in these threads, and to keep the bugs and oversights organized. More stable releases is what we're after, whether style or addon. Is the "P" thing style or template? We will hang tight for awhile on doing anything else guys.

Thanks
