Archon Feedback

@Russ will this product work on XF 1.4.8 or am I finally forced now to upgrade :)

Probably be forced to update :D while I'm sure you could get away with running it on a slightly older version our official recommendation is to run a style version equal to your XF. If XF adds or changes things in templates that we edit you'll be running those new edits which may not be in your version of XF

The username and titles need a small fix to be aligned with the user avatar and the message userblock is a few pixels too wide https://pixelexit.com/demo/xf/threads/testing.338/#post-456

Fixed :) I'll be pushing the new update to the demo board this weekend then shooting for a release shortly after that.

When I started these child styles I realized customizing the sidebar was... difficult. So the main Archon style will ship out with a different sidebar, then one of the child styles I'm shipping out with it will have the original Archon sidebar.

So final little update to this prior to the release. I've added a few options in the style, first off we have a few styling versions of the vertical nav:

"Alternate Style 2"

"Alternate Style 1"

This would be the default sidebar look, inherits the sidebar block styling and just styles the vertical navigation by itself

Little alternate visitor panel option enabled:

Sticky Vertical Nav will allow you to allow just the vertical nav to be sticky instead of the entire sidebar.

This style will work best with the widget framework:
https://xenforo.com/community/resources/bd-widget-framework.297/ as it populates a sidebar on every page which by default XenForo doesn't have blocks on every page.

I have been waiting patiently for this. Is it going to be released soon?

Yes it's finally ready :), I'm wrapping up a nice XenBase update which improves on quite a bit of things as well as adds a few nice functionalities to it which Archon is ran on. Once I get this finalized I'll push Archon to the store.

May i ask something?
Is this style support sticky sidebar in thread view?

Earlier i take a look at the style and it's look sticky sidebar is just support at homepage (https://pixelexit.com/demo/?theme=Archon)

If possible, please make the sticky sidebar support in thread view :)

i really looking forward for the release date :)

When the estimated release date for this style?

The sticky sidebar is fixed in the final release so you'll be able to use it on any page. The sticky JS wasn't activating on pages that normally didn't have a sidebar in XenForo. Ideally though you'll want to use the widget framework along with this style to populate the sidebar. This is finally shipping out with our next XenBase update which is almost there.

Minor bugs:
  • Support thread button on resource pages is 320 px wide while other elements are 300px
  • New post indicator on private messages forces a space between the date and name in horizontal layout
  • got some more but forgot to write them down, will update later

These are fixed along with some other enhancements.

Also for anyone willing :), I've released it : https://pixelexit.com/xenforo-styles/archon.26/

I'll make a formal announcement this weekend.
