Or, can I just add multiple photos that will show in the header randomly on various visits?

You can use our backstretch option to rotate images in the header. The new XF2.2 options let you upload them directly in the admin panel:
You might need to change "Class selection" to custom selector and use a custom class depending on the setup of your Bolt Header. I can help with that though if you get stuck..
