Is there a way to make it so that it's a bit easier to tell when a thread is new or has new posts in it? Right now it's not really that intuitive.

Are you referring to the node icons on the main forum page?

You can change the color -> Style Properties -> [XB] Nodes

Change the color for the unread node icon,

or you can disable the font awesome node icons in there as well and use a standard sprite.

Nope I was able to get that resolved. This is in the actual thread list where you pick threads to look at, enter them and post replies etc.

Sorry for the late response, you can style them a little bit further via the style properties.

Style Properties -> Discussion List -> First Row text controls the regular thread title,

Then Thread Title(unread) will control the unread look.

Hmm that still doesn't seem to let us change the icon that appears next to it though, right now it's a little circular icon.

Ah my mistake, you need to edit the xenforo-ui-sprite image, the dots on the bottom left.
