Ok, I want to upgrade to Core 1.4.4.
My current setup is
Xenbase
Core
Lynefc - set as default.

So I want to keep my custom changes as they include header, background etc.
I am struggling to locate info on how best to upgrade and keep my custom syste,

Hey Slewis1972 been meaning to make some install and upgrade videos but my times been limited.

For your setup, first as always Export all your styles(XenBase/Core/Lynefc).

Next import and overwrite the updated XenBase.

Next import and overwrite the updated Core.

Depending on how old your version is things could potentially change slightly, Core recently got a nice little revamp to make it a little more cleaner with less greys. It's easy to change back if you don't like it though.

Last step you may want to upload the new /xenbase/ folder, no changes to the core folders.

This method works assuming.... you put all your changes into your child style. If you put all of your edits into the Core style then yes you would lose the customizations upon future upgrades.

I can take a look for you if you'd like, need a temporary account with appearance access. This is a public area of the forum so you can submit a support ticket or PM me.
