Well... whoops!

If you find yourself seeing a pink selected tab color it's not you going crazy!

Use the admin search in the top right, look for: blockTabHeaderSelected

Remove:
Code: 
color: pink;
from the EXTRA box.

This is already fixed for the next release... sorry about that.
