I have a small custom style which is running on Xenforo 2.0.11 at the moment. Of course, when Xenforo 2.1 is released, I'll want to upgrade to it. Will I need custom work done to upgrade the style or will I be able to upgrade to the Xenforo 2.1 version of Fusion Gamer without any problems?

As long as page_container isn't edited on your style it makes for an easy upgrade. Backup your site first.

Upgrade XenForo, export your current styles just in case, import and overwrite Fusion Gamer with the update.
