How to fix light blue text on dark blue background?

I am having this problem where some of the text shows up light blue on dark blue backgrounds.
For example when editing tags

The same issue shows up in other places too. How can I fix it?

Ok I added the code back to discussion_lists.css and it didn't break the site, but it didn't fix the problem.

I would also like to fix this so it shows up white, but I think it is related to the quote issue.

The color of the quote author text should change on inline mod to be readable when selected but it dosen't. It was blue, but now it is set to black. Ideally I would like to have it set to white, but it caus that issue when selected. I believe ozzy posted a thread about the quote issue here a while ago.
